MISSION STATEMENT

The Ithaca Motion Picture Project is an independent, non-profit cultural and educational organization whose principal mission is to preserve and renovate the original Wharton Studio building, in Central, New York. From 1911 to 1923, over 100 silent films were directed and produced here. The building will serve as a center devoted to multimedia education, exhibition and film development and production.
